<p>The ball valve has a housing (2) in which a ball is (3) mounted to rotate between ring-form sealing elements (8,9), and residual medium chambers formed between the housing, the ball and the sealing elements. At least two bores (14,15) are provided which when the valve is open effect a circulatory flow in the residual medium chambers to flush them out. The bores connect the passage (12) of the ball to the residual medium chambers. The bores extend at an angle with regard to the direction of flow (5) of the medium.</p> |
