摘要 FIELD: mechanical engineering; methods of production of wear-resisting coatings for cutting tools. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular, to the method of production of the wear-resisting coatings for cutting tools and may be used in a metal working. The method provides for a vacuum-plasma deposition of a wear-resisting coating based on titanium nitride or carbonitride containing molybdenum. As an alloying ingredient for the coating is additionally used zirconium. The coating is applied by two inversely directed composite cathodes containing titanium and molybdenum and a placed between them composite cathode containing titanium and zirconium.
