FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves determining topographic pattern of pancreas by measuring distance h2 between table surface and the pancreas from computer tomograms and distance h1 from X-ray tube set on anterior abdominal wall with compression corresponding to X-ray therapy conditions, and table surface. H=h1-h2 is calculated, where H is the pancreas depth under X-ray therapy conditions. Internal duodenum contour projection is drawn on anterior abdominal wall skin surface under X-ray control and artificial stomach and duodenum contrasting. Pancreas body and tail portion contour is drawn on anterior abdominal wall skin surface under ultrasonic scanning with perpendicular ray path. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy in calculating deep dose for an organ under radiation with specific X-ray therapy conditions being taken into account. ^ 4 dwg
