FIELD: manufacture of engines; measurement technology; testing internal combustion engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed test stand includes the following interconnected components which are mounted on bed plate: mounting plate with units for attachment of fuel pump under test, variable-speed drive, fuel supply system and test stand control system. Variable-speed drive is made in form of induction electric motor with spindle whose axis of rotation coincides with axis of rotation of pump under test; it is located at the same level. Smooth adjustment of rotation is effected with the aid of control unit provided with frequency converter together with angular position increment sensor mounted on electric motor shaft. Measuring unit is provided with controllers with high-speed processor and high-speed analog-to-digital converters and pressure sensors, optical level sensors with calibrated reservoirs and drainage electromagnetic valves. ^ EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and efficiency of measurements; automation of testing procedure; reduced complexity and usage of metal. ^ 4 cl, 6 dwg |
