A correlation filter obtains a correlation value between a reference symbol and a digital signal. A detector determines the maximum value from the output of the correlation filter. An image synchronizer determines the starting point of an image based on the position of the maximum value. A symbol synchronizer synchronizes the timing of the symbols with the images.
