FIELD: heat insulation of pipe lines; sealing-up joints of pipes provided with polymer or zinc-plated envelopes. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed thermally shrinkable coupling used for sealing-up the joints of preliminarily heat insulated pipes has at least two filler holes with blanks. Body of coupling is made from cross-linked polyethylene over entire length; filler holes are stopped with blanks which are also made from cross-linked polyethylene and are fixed in holes due to thermal shrinkage over diameter and thermal shrinkage of blanks lengthwise. ^ EFFECT: facilitated procedure of sealing-up filler holes under field conditions. ^ 1 dwg
