A fiber which consists of polymer containing a spherical magnetic material with a saturation magnetic flux density of at least 0.5 Tesla and having a fiber forming capability, and which is excellent in magnetic field responsiveness and conductivity. In a preferable mode, (a) an average particle size of a spherical magnetic material is up to 5 mu m, (b) an coercive force of a spherical magnetic material is up to 1000 A/m, and (c) a fiber is a composite fiber consisting of a magnetic layer containing 20-90 wt.% of a spherical magnetic material and a protection layer containing less than 20 wt.% of a spherical magnetic material. Clothing such as a woven fabric and a short fiber using the above fiber, a brush roller consisting of the fibers, and electrophotographic device comprising the brush roller. |
