A positive electrostatic charge control agent is disclosed which contains a silicon complex compound comprising silicon as an central atom to which oxygen derived from a hydroxyl group bonded to an organic group is linked through covalent bond and to which a carbonyl group in an amount equivalent to that of the oxygen is linked through coordinate bond. The silicon complex compound is composed of 3 to 1- valent cation and 3 to 1- valent anion, and the equivalent weight of the oxygen and the carbonyl group to one silicon atom is 1-3.
