The invention relates to a valve lever (1) of a valve gear of an internal combustion engine comprising two lateral walls (3, 4) that are connected by a cross-segment (2). A complementary inward shaping (7) for a head of a supporting element is, on one side, made on an underside (5) of the cross-segment (2) at one end (6), and a holding fixture (8) is placed at the same end (6) while being provided for holding coupling means (8a), which are provided for coupling the valve lever (1) to another lever (9) as desired in order to achieve different cam stokes. According to the invention, both sections (7, 8) are provided as a separate part in a modular unit. This has advantages with regard to manufacturing, particularly when the levers (1, 9) are made of sheet metal.
