A mold-attaching/detaching device in a tire vulcanizing machine, where engagement/disengagement means of the device is engaged and disengaged using the feature that a top plate and a bottom plate of a tire-vulcanizing machine relatively move in the horizontal direction and where construction and operation of the engagement/disengagement means are simplified so that the device can be structured at low cost. The engagement/disengagement means is engaged with the center of the top plate and that of the bottom plate corresponding to each other at a vulcanizing position (M) by relative movement in the horizontal direction of both plates, and the means is disengaged at an offset position (N) where the top plate or the bottom plate is displaced in the horizontal direction from the vulcanizing position.
