A back pain corset designed to rest against the lumber chain of the patient while leaving free the dorsal chain, sacrum and buttocks and provided with means of bringing the patient into lordosis The corset comprises (1) two lateral shells, each one of which is intended to fix securely to the trochanter; (2) flexible means of fixing intended to rest against the abdominal region; (3) two effectively rigid posts, the free ends of which are intended to support themselves against the pectoral region; (4) elastic means suitable for linking the free ends of the posts. The lumber band is intended to be centred at the area of the second and third lumber vertebrae. The means of putting in lordosis comprise a strip belonging to the lumbar band with the concavity facing forwards. The flexible means of fixing comprise two extensions in a plastic material and at least one piece of webbing to join the extensions together reliably. Each post comprises an intermediate portion extending vertically from the corresponding shell and a curved portion resting against the pectoral region of the patient.
