The lever is movable in rotation along its axis, and adjustment units (18, 20, 21, 23) adjust the position of the lever. The adjustment units are configured for shifting the lever angularly around the cam axis (6). The adjustment units include an arm (18), a toothed sector (20), as screw (21) and an electric motor (23). An independent claim is also included for a process of controlling the actuation of a valve of an internal combustion engine.
