PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light and thin self-luminous type display device having good display quality. SOLUTION: A conductive layer is formed on the surface of a film which has polyimide benzoxazole obtained by reacting aromatic diamines having a benzoxazole structure and aromatic tetracarboxylic acid anhydrides as a main component, and the coefficient of linear expansion of which is 2×10<SP>-6</SP>to 16×10<SP>-6</SP>cm/cm/°C. This display device includes a self-luminous type element formed on this conductive layer as a component. Preferably, a film comprising polyimide benzoxazole which has a tensile elastic modulus of≥5 GPa and tensile strength at break of≥300 MPa is used as a support. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
