PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide structure which can miniaturize an optical element driving unit and an optical pickup device. SOLUTION: This optical element driving unit 1 is provided with the guide structure which moves a correcting lens b109 (an optical element) in a uniaxial direction while supporting it. The guide structure comprises a lead screw 4 (a main shaft), a main bearing section 6, a bent section 9 in which a base 8 (a board) is bent and formed, a jackshaft 9a which is a part of the bent section, a sub-bearing section 11, an opening 10 formed in the bent section so as to adjoin the jackshaft 9a, and the base 8 mounting them.
