PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine installation device capable of preventing protrusion (advance movement) of a plunger of a chain tensioner to prevent loosening of a timing chain in maintenance work and preventing a meshing position with a crank sprocket from being deviated when installing again by nipping and holding the timing chain between a movable shoe and it to improve ease of maintenance work. SOLUTION: This engine installing device is provided with a basic part fixed to an engine main body or a chain cover and an arm part extending to an inner peripheral side of the timing chain from the basic part to oppose to the movable shoe.
