PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double sash having an excellent sound insulating effect and a good appearance. SOLUTION: The double sash 1 comprises a window frame 7; an inside shutter body 3 for obstructing at the inner periphery of the window frame; an outer blocking body 5 for obstructing at the inner periphery of the window frame 7, in the room outside of the inside shutter body 3; and an intermediate air layer 20 between the inside shutter body 3 and the outer blocking body 5. In the window frame 7, at least one of the upper/lower and right/left frames 21, 23, and 25 contains a sound absorbing member 31 and air layers 35 and 37 in the frame. An inner peripheral side surface 31a of the sound absorbing member 31 faces the intermediate air layer 20; and at least one of the surfaces of an outer peripheral side surface 31d, an interior side surface 31b and an outer side surface 31c faces the air layers 35 and 37 within the frame.
