PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caisson construction method for a caisson or the like capable of obtaining sufficient pushing force by a simple construction method and giving controlling force of sinking in the case the nature of the soil around a cutting edge is weak. SOLUTION: In a construction method embedding a tube 1 such as a caisson in the ground, a liner plate 6 is spread to the upper inner circumferential surface of a hole 8 bored in the ground in advance, a thrust load producer 11 abutting on the liner plat 6 around the ground surface is provided in the direction of the diameter, and frictional force occurred between the liner plate 6 and a back soil layer 10 is used as reaction force of immersion load and the sinking controlling force.
