PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hems of pants (trousers) from being caught between the leg heels and footwear heels and beautifully keep a silhouette line of pants when human wears footwear in which heels of sandals, mules, etc., are opened while wearing pants (trousers). SOLUTION: The sheet body 2 is composed of a sheet material having an area occupying a prescribed region opposite to the rear of feet on the rear side of hems of trousers and having flexibility and elasticity. An adhesive layer 10 is formed on either one surface of the sheet body and a release paper 4 is detachably bonded to the adhesive layer 10 and a shape-retaining tool 1 for hems is constituted of the sheet body 2, the adhesive layer 10 and the release paper 4. When the release paper 4 is removed from the sheet body 2 and the sheet body 2 is bonded to the rear side of the hems of trousers, stretch is generated in the hem part. The hem part of the trousers is not caught in the spaces between leg heels and footwear heels by the stretch when human wore footwear in which leg heels are opened. Since the silhouette line of pants is beautifully kept without making the hem part fluttery, the shape-retaining tool 1 can be used also when human wears general footwear.
