PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device which is free from any improper operation by spatter generated during the welding, and capable of simplifying the control. SOLUTION: In the control device capable of controlling other operational equipment such as a work posture changing device 5 by a welding torch 3 of a welding robot 1, detection members capable of detecting insertion of the welding torch in a plurality of hole parts 32 formed in an upper portion of a casing 31 are provided, each one end side thereof is connected to an air source and the other end side has a plurality of air feed pipes to feed operational air to the operational equipment such as a posture changing device 4 and an article fitting device 5 via a solenoid valve, and a control circuit unit which inputs the detection signal from each detection member and outputs the control signal to the predetermined solenoid valve is provided. Each detection member is constituted of a plurality of sets of photosensors capable of detecting two parts of the welding torch, and the control circuit unit is constituted to output the predetermined control signal only when the detection signal from each photosensor is simultaneously obtained.
