POWER TRANSMISSION BELT

A power transmission belt having a compression rubber layer and an adhesion rubber layer as rubber layers, wherein the compression rubber layer and the adhesion rubber layer have been subjected to vulcanization adhesion and a reinforcement is buried in the adhesion rubber layer, and wherein at least the compression rubber layer of the above rubber layers comprises an ethylene-a-olefin-diene rubber vulcanizate being formed by the vulcanization of an ethylene-a-olefin-diene rubber by the use of an organic peroxide and a tri-functional co-crosslinking agent. The above power transmission belt is reduced in the degree of swelling even when it is exposed to a circumstance wherein oils are present and oils are attached to the ethylene-a-olefin-diene rubber vulcanizate constituting the rubber layer thereof and also is reduced in the lowering of the hardness and in the abrasion of the rubber layer, and exhibits excellent oil resistance.
