<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable application of a user's favorite appearance design (color, pattern, etc.) to an article carried by the user. <P>SOLUTION: A design creation terminal 1 downloads an appearance design creation program corresponding to a target article from a server 2 through the Internet 4 by operations of a design creating user who applies to appearance design creation, and creates an appearance design. The server 2 registers the appearance design created by the design creating user to a database 20. A design using user operates a design printer 3 to receive and display appearance designs registered in the database 20, selects his/her favorite appearance design and prints it on the article 5 carried by himself/herself. The design printer 3 notifies information for the printed appearance design to the server 2 after the end of printing.
