<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display element improving brightness and reducing power consumption, and also to provide a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent display element comprises: anodes 104 and cathodes 112 formed so as to cross each other with an organic light-emitting layer 110 interposed in between; barrier ribs formed in parallel with the cathodes 112 so as to cross the anodes 104; conductive light shielding films 106 demarcating light-emitting areas on the anodes 104, and shielding external light; and insulation films 107 formed so as to cover the conductive light shielding films 106, demarcating the light-emitting areas. The conductive light shielding film 106 is made of an opaque conductive material to absorb external light incident through the transparent substrate 102 and the anode 104. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
