PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out recording reservation of a program to a recording medium through user's simple operation and a simple process on the device side. SOLUTION: When a video recorded optical disk 1 is charged and a recording reservation button is operated by operating a remote controller 18, a system controller 10 retrieves a user data region of the charged optical disk 1 and reads out the video recording information to display a list of video recording information on a display device 21. The user selects the video recording information the user hope to carry out the reservation of video recording from the display, and when the recording reservation button of the remote controller 18 is operated again, the system controller 10 determines the program of the selected video recording information as the recording reservation program based on the operation signal so that these programs are into a recording reservation mode according to the video recording information.
