PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device having a recording function while photographing a panoramic still picture and also relating an animation at the same time. SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing device is provided with a function of recognizing a scene change to realize functions of generating the panoramic still picture and adding a break of the animation and its break information as information on the panoramic still picture and then realize a function of recording the panoramic still picture to which the animation is related, so that when the reproduction of the panoramic still picture is stopped at a position where information related for a certain time is present and the panoramic still picture is browsed, the animation can be reproduced.
