PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing terminal structure of heater and a heater using this in which mechanical strength is stronger, handling is easy, and the sealing terminal portion is formed easily, and further, the allowable current is made large, thereby enabling the allowable temperature range of the heater to be large. SOLUTION: The sealing terminal structure of the heater housing a heating element 2 in a glass member 3 comprises connecting wires 6a, 6b which supplies electric power to the heating element, cap members 7a, 7b of bottomed cylindrical shape made of conductive material which support one end of the connecting wires and seal the end part of the glass member 3, and rubber packing members 8a, 8b which are installed at least on the inner bottom face of the cap members 7a, 7b and contact the end part of the glass member. The end part of the glass member 3 is housed in the cap members 7a, 7b and the end corner part of the glass member 3 contacts the slant portion of the rubber packing members 8a, 8b.
