PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide engine combustion state diagnostic equipment capable of accurately determining whether it is abnormal combustion (misfire) or not without being affected by the disturbance such as vehicle reverberations, etc. SOLUTION: The engine combustion state diagnostic equipment is provided with a necessary time measuring means 101 to measure such a necessary time that a crankshaft rotates a predetermined angle, a combustion state parameter calculating means 102 to calculate a combustion state parameter, a first parameter calculating means 103 to calculate a first combustion state reverberation parameter from the predetermined time, a second parameter calculation means 104 to calculate a second combustion state reverberation parameter from the predetermined time, a reverberation determining means 105 to determine the combustion state reverberation state on the basis of the first and second combustion state reverberation parameters, and a combustion state determining means 106 to determine whether it is the abnormal combustion such as the misfire on the basis of the combustion state parameter and determination result of the reverberation determining means so as to determine the misfire.
