PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display which can display desired visible information as if floating without sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: Indicator elements 3, 4, 5 are provided on a transparent glass substrate 2 to indicate numbers of one or more digits. The indicator elements are built by bonding LEDs 7<SB>-11</SB>, 7<SB>-12</SB>, ..., 71<SB>-71</SB>, 71<SB>-72</SB>respectively on the electrode pads 6<SB>-1</SB>, ..., 6<SB>-7</SB>arranged in a seven segment pattern. By stacking the indicator elements 1 thus manufactured on a liquid crystal display, the images on the liquid crystal display and the numbers on the indicator elements 1 can be overlapped to display since the indicator elements 1 have a transparent substrate 2.
