PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, etc., for expressing information to be easily erased in conventional sensitivity correction, especially the information at the high signal part of an original image, without allowing the information to be erased. SOLUTION: A baseline is calculated as the constant multiplication of a sensitivity map S(x, y, z) in a reception coil with nonuniformity in sensitivity, baseline type signal strength correction is performed by subtracting the baseline from magnetic resonance signals F(x, y, z) which are collected by the reception coil for the generation of a magnetic resonance image, so as to acquire correction data Fb(x, y, z) where a difference between image data F(x, y, z) and the baseline is kept.
