PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device that greatly reduces power consumption of a radio LAN module when a communication channel by which communication can be performed with a connection destination can not be searched even if a fixed time passes after a search start. SOLUTION: This communication terminal device is provided with the radio LAN module that searches one connectable communication channel among a plurality of communication channels by channel scanning and performs radio communication with the searched communication channel through a radio LAN. The radio LAN module stops searching a communication channel and shifts the operation mode of the radio LAN module to a power saving operation mode when a communicable communication channel can not be searched even though the fixed time passes after starting searching the communicable communication channel, when the radio LAN module searches the communicable communication channel by channel scanning.
