<p>A textile drafting station has a pair of feed rollers surrendering an as-yet untwisted fibre sliver to pass in contact with a further compression drum with an essentially V-shape circular surface detent (15). The compression drum is followed by a pair of feed rollers (10, 11) one of which (10) is in close proximity to the compression drum (14). The sliver passes around both drums under tension. The surface detent is no more than 5 mm deep.</p> |
