This invention concerns a method for managing the force that arises during a collision between a vehicle (1) and a second vehicle (2), or between a vehicle (1) and an object (2). The vehicle (1) is caused to glide against the second vehicle or the object (2) in a direction away from the second vehicle or the object (2) such that at least parts of the force are used for continued motion of the vehicle (1). The invention concerns also an arrangement and a vehicle (1) that function according to the method.
