<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelling duct cleaning robot for cleaning the inner face of a large scale air conditioning duct. <P>SOLUTION: The main part of the duct cleaning robot comprises a running carriage system 10 for self-propelling in a bottom plate 1 of a duct, an elevating system 20 mounted on the system, an upper structural body 60 of a lifter installed on the top part of the elevating system 20, a cleaning head system 100 to which two rotation brushes 101 and 102 are attached, a rotating system 170 for rotating the cleaning head system 100 by 360° to the upper structural body 60. The respective systems are provided with television cameras 150, 152, 154, and 155 and lights 160, 162, 163, and 165 for lighting. The inner face of a rectangular duct can reliably be cleaned by this multi-layer structure involving running the systems in the duct by the carriage system 10, widening the cleaning range in the height direction by the elevating system 20, and rotating the cleaning head system 100 while setting the rotation brushes 101 and 102 facing to the transverse wall and the ceiling of the duct by the rotating system 170. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
