PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner using a polyester resin as a binder resin, superior in toner properties, such as offset resistance and low-temperature fixability, moreover low in price and ensuring a small amount of toner used per sheet, and to provide a polyester resin for toner used in the toner, without using bisphenol A or a derivative thereof as an alcohol component. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner contains a urethane modified polyester resin (C) as a binder resin, obtained by mixing and reacting a polyester resin (A), comprising an acid component which consists of disproportionated rosin and terephthalic acid and/or isophthalic acid and alcohol components which consists of a glycidyl ester of a tertiary fatty acid and a 2-10C aliphatic diol, and having a hydroxyl value of 20-70 mgKOH/g with a polyisocyanate compound (B).
