摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a high-quality image with superior switching characteristics by improving light shielding performance against return light or the like from the downside of TFTs possessed by a precharge circuit, a sampling circuit or the like, in an active matrix drive type liquid crystal device.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device (200) has a liquid crystal layer (50) sandwiched between a couple of substrates; pixel electrodes (11) provided in a matrix on the substrate; and TFTs (30) which perform switching control over the electrodes. A light-shielding layer is provided below the TFTs and TFTs of the precharge circuit (201) and the sampling circuit (301).
