PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine drive type air conditioner that can be connected to a single-phase power supply as well as a three-phase power supply and can reliably detect phase interruption. SOLUTION: The engine drive type air conditioner has a power terminal block that can be connected to the three-phase power supply or the single-phase power supply, and can connect the power supply to the single-phase power supply and the three-phase power supply. The engine drive type air conditioner comprises a detector for detecting a interphase voltage level in the three-phase power supply; and a determining means for determining phase interruption, based on the output signal of the detector.
