<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice grain coating apparatus capable of excellently coating a coating material solution on the surface of rice grains while excellently conveying rice grains along the longitudinal direction of a stirring chamber-forming member. <P>SOLUTION: This rice grain coating apparatus has a stirring and conveying means 55 set on the cylindrical stirring chamber-forming member 52 of a posture falling sideways, and conveying rice grains received from a rice grain receiving port 53 to the longitudinal direction of the stirring chamber-forming member 52 and discharging rice grains from a rice grain discharge port 54. The stirring and conveying means 55 has a helical conveying unit 58 helically extending along the longitudinal direction of the stirring chamber-forming member 52 in a condition of having inner space K continuing into the longitudinal direction of the stirring chamber-forming member 52 in the inner side of the radial direction and a helical conveying action part whose interspace is opened so as to connect to the inner space and being rotated around the shaft center along the longitudinal direction of the stirring chamber-forming member 52 with an electric monitor 59.
