PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide door device capable of suppressing occurrence of damage of a light emitter or a light receiver for detecting intrusion of luggage or the like into clearance between a door and a door pocket while preventing the intrusion thereof into the clearance between the door and the door pocket. SOLUTION: A frame body 6 is vertically erected on a floor surface 3, and a door 5 for opening/closing an entrance 4 comprising the frame body 6 and the floor surface 3 is provided so as to move to a horizontal direction along an erected surface of the frame body 6. A light projector 10 is installed in a lower end side of a vertical frame door side perpendicular surface facing the door 5 of a vertical frame 1 with a light-emitting surface projecting into the clearance between the vertical frame 1 and the door 5. The light receiver 9 is installed in an upper frame 2, with an incident surface located on the same surface as a lower surface 2b of the upper frame 2, so as to receive light L1 emitted from the light projector 10.
