PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which carries out printing processing to a substrate without damaging the communication function of an RFID device to the substrate of a long shape where the RFID device is loaded, and which can carry out cutting processing of the substrate at an appropriate point. SOLUTION: The printer 10 is equipped at least with a transfer means 11 for transferring the substrate 20, a printing means 12 for carrying out printing to the substrate 20, a first identifying means 13 for identifying information A related to printing of the substrate 20, a first judging means 14 for determining a point to cut the RFID device on the basis of the information A, a cutting means 15 for cutting to make the substrate 20 into pieces on the basis of a signal from the first judging means 14, a second identifying means 16 for identifying information B possessed by the RFID device attached to the substrate 20, a second judging means 17 for determining a point to cut the substrate 20 on the basis of the information B, and an attaching means 19 for attaching the RFID device to the substrate 20 on the basis of a signal from the second judging means 17.
