PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine having an illumination controlling function for a reel so that a performance based on an effective illumination of the reel can be realized. SOLUTION: This slot machine has reels R1, R2 and R3, fluorescent lamps FL1, FL2 and FL3, and back lamps BL1, BL2 and BL3 which have a function for individually illuminating the reels R1, R2 and R3, a winning combination drawing means 51 which performs the drawing of a winning combination, and an illumination controlling means 73 which controls the illuminations of the fluorescent lamps FL1, FL2 and FL3, and the back lamps BL1, BL2 and BL3. In the slot machine, the lightness and the color of the illumination, or a combination of them by which the fluorescent lamps FL1, FL2 and FL3 and the back lamps BL1, BL2 and BL3 individually illuminate the reels R1, R2 and R3 are made one of performance configurations.
