The invention relates to a drive unit for moving an active element (2) relative to a passive element (1). The active element (2) is provided with a resonator (3) and at least one means (4) for exciting oscillations of said resonator (3). The resonator encompasses contact zones (7) for applying forces to the passive element (1), the active element (2) being driven relative to the passive element (1) by means of oscillating movements of the contact zones (7). The resonator (3) comprises at least two arms, preferably a couple (5) of arms (6), the at least two arms (6) of a couple (5) of arms being embodied on the same side of the resonator, starting from a connecting area of the resonator. The contact zones (7) are configured on the outer ends of the arms (6). Said contact zones (7) can be moved towards or away from each other by means of oscillating movements of the couple (5) of arms such that the passive element (1) can be made to perform a movement relative to the active element (2).
