The sensor has a housing (2) in a mounting (14). The housing outer side (3) has a continuous cross-section profile which is interrupted by two placed-apart raised parts (5,6), one of which circles the longitudinal axis. The parts are a protective lip (5) and hooked knobs (6). Independent claims are also included for the mounting and a method for mounting the sensor.
