<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing accidental ingestion of memory cards. <P>SOLUTION: A memory card with a base having a semiconductor memory thereon and built into a casing includes an emetic on the surface of the casing, either by including the emetic in the entire casing or by including the emetic in characters or the like that are printed on the surface of the casing.
