PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt correcting method and an optical disk device with which recording quality and reproducing quality are improved. SOLUTION: Since a tilt correction value is obtained for each recording speed of an optical disk 101, even when recording speed for each optical disk 101 is varied, the optical disk device can cope with the variation, accuracy of the tilt correction value is improved, and recording quality and reproducing quality can be improved.
