PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which excellently transmits/receives data even when transmitting/receiving video data or the like in real time using an interface incapable of freely changing a packet size at a slave side in response to a request from a master. SOLUTION: In a data transmission apparatus used in a system which communicates moving image data via a USB interface, a transmission data packer to be transmitted by a communication pipe which communicates the video data with a reception apparatus, is transmitted after adding additional information relating to a generation timing of the video data into the transmission data packet.
