PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a construction period by forming a branch tunnel from a main tunnel in a short period. SOLUTION: The main tunnel 1 is provided with the branch tunnel 3. In this case, the branch tunnel 3 is formed in advance with a shield driving method and then an intersection planed section 200 penetrating between the branch tunnel 3 and the main tunnel 1 is formed by a shield machine 50 in exclusive use for the main tunnel.
