PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending die with which the quality is improved so that a work is not scratched on the shoulder at bending, the accuracy of bending is maintained by preventing wear in the shoulder part of the die, the safety of workers is secured by stopping scattering when the die is broken and preparatory job time is shortened by making the die light in weight. SOLUTION: In a bending die which consists of a punch P and a die D mounted to the upper and lower tables of a bending device and with which the work W is bent, the die D is composed of carbon fibers. The carbon fibers are formed from straight fibers 9 and cross fibers 10, or only the straight fibers 9 or only the cross fibers 10. In the case the carbon fibers are formed from the straight fibers 9 and the cross fibers 10, for example, the straight fibers 9 and the cross fibers 10 respectively comprise the upper part 4 and the lower part 5 of the die D taking a position H upper than the bottom part of a V-groove 11 as the boundary.
