ANNULAR TYPE BEAD MILL, PIGMENT DISPERSION SYSTEM PROVIDED WITH THE SAME, AND PIGMENT DISPERSION METHOD USING THE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular type bead mill for pigment dispersion for which a dispersion medium with a very small particle size can be used without causing a clogging problem of the medium and for which the washing time can be shortened, and a pigment dispersion system and a pigment dispersion method using the bead mill. SOLUTION: A cylindrical rotor 5 is installed in a cylindrical vessel 4 having a supply port 2 and a discharge port 3 so as to form an annular gap X from an inner wall of the cylindrical vessel 4 for dispersing a pigment. The cylindrical rotor 5 has a circumferential wall having an aperture part 5c for circulation through which the dispersion medium can pass and an upper wall supported by a rotary driving shaft 5b and is opened in the lower part. A separation screen 7 communicating with the discharge port 3 is installed in the rotor 5 and also a centrifugal separation apparatus 10 having rotary blades 10b surrounding the circumference of the separation screen 7 is installed. The rotary driving shaft 5b of the rotor 5 is made to be a hollow shaft and a rotary driving shaft 10a of the rotary blades 10b is inserted into the hollow space. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
