PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classifier that is capable of efficiently recovering fine sand with good quality usable as sand for aggregate from natural sand, crushed sand and recycled sand, and to provide a classification method. SOLUTION: The classifier of the sand for aggregate has a conduit to supply the sand for aggregates towards into a wet type classifier 5 by a high pressure water jet and has a fine sand recovering device 20 immediately below the wet type classifier 5 to classify the sands for aggregates discharged from the conduit. The fine sand discharged from the fine sand recovering device 20 is returned to the wet type classifier 5 via a washing device 3 and a sending pipe 4 under pressure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
