PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spit roaster mechanizing a troublesome basting work in a simple mechanism, sufficiently basting a roast object at a time irrelevant to before or during roasting the roast object, and deliciously finishing the roast object. SOLUTION: This spit roaster is provided with a gravy sprinkling mechanism 36 disposed with two rollers 31a and 31b vertically, sprinkling gravy T in a gravy cup 32 on the upper part of the upper roller 31a and dipping the lower part of the lower roller 31b dipped in the gravy T in the gravy cup 32; and a basting device D allowing the roast object W carried by a carrier means 1 with its stuck with a spit 2 to pass between the two rollers 31a and 31b coming in contact with the roller faces Fa and Fb.
