It is intended to provide a method of producing a dipeptide characterized by comprising culturing in a medium a microorganism which has an ability to produce a protein having an activity of forming a dipeptide from one or more amino acids and also has an ability to produce at least one amino acid from among the one or more amino acids as described above, thus forming and accumulating the dipeptide in the medium and then harvesting the dipeptide from the medium.
